Hi all,

Chris Lang has just emailed me about a new video which shows how to link up Twitter and GFC. It's worth a look:

Check it out here.

Cheers,

Martin.

Hi everyone,

I just found a short video from Google on how to set up GFC on your blog or site. I posted it on my blog, so you can check it out here:

Ginny - on GFC enabled sites you need to find the GFC widget - that's where the 'Join' button is.

Ginny, hi,

You need to go to a GFC enabled site (Ben's, Nelson's or one of mine, or any others on here who've got it set up) and click the 'Join' button.

From there it will prompt you to sign in to one of your Google, Yahoo, AIM or OpenID accounts. Once you've done that it will ask you if you want to join this site, so click that button and you're done.

Once you've done that you need to go to your Google account and follow the instructions for 'Adding a New Site'.

Then you need to upload the files they give you to your server, add the code to your site and you're done.

I signed up through my Google account because it's all in one place. I'm not sure what the process is if you sign up through one of the others, but it's probably pretty similar.

Cheers,

Martin.

BTW - everyone,

In order to get the full benefit of GFC I do recommend you grab Chris Lang's free GFC Tactics course. I'm on the 4th of 5 modules and it's well worth it - especially as it's free.

Being Google, GFC is not quite as intuitive as it might have been, but please bring your questions to this group and we can help each other out.

GFC does have the potential to be very powerful - but you do need to understand how to maximise that potential.

I've linked to the sign up page for Chris' course from a blog post I wrote on GFC, which also gives you a bit more info. The link is right near the top.

Here's the blog post:

Cheers,

Martin.

Hi Stacy,

I am on your site now. For some reason i was not able to see the switch to messages on your site? Where you can write and post a message on your site. You may want to check into that? If you go to my site you will see that I have that option to switch from messages to members. My site is www.floridavacantlandsales.com thanks ben
