Ryan, saturation of the market is meaningless in this context. Ning sites are focused on a topic. If you sell chocolate, you would not join a Ning about hydraulics. It's the same as with newsletters. You try a few in YOUR topic line, and stick with the one that is the most useful to you. And you dump all others.

It makes no difference that there are Millions of them out there. There is always room for a better focused or a more active one, or a better moderated one.

This one is still a baby crawling around aimlessly, with everybody waiting to see if a real focus emerges.

Lets throw in a few narrow topics like
- Is twitter a waste of time
- How frequent should newsletters be to be effective
- How to get a list from promoted to organic
- How do you get your newsletters in front of fresh eyeballs
- What makes a list grow organically
etc.

Then let's get some hot and wild discussions going.
Set a time limit for voting for the topic,
and then stick to it.
Have FUN!

But with all the Ning sites and so many people belonging to alot of Ning networks, is the market over-saturated?

I agree Mary...totally

I've never thought to promote a ning site/network on traffic exchanges. Not sure why they would ban them other than they're not a splash page type site. I'm finding more and more TE's wanting members to use splash pages which work pretty good but eventually, they'll start wanting ONLY splash pages where an e-book or information material to be downloaded, not affiliate splash pages.

I think Ning is becoming more popular as they're more interactive than MySpace and all the others. MySpace seems, in my opinion, to be all about the profile and how many friends you can get in a matter of minutes or days. Whereas the Ning sites you can do so much more to express yourself with or without adding friends and still build relationships. :-)

I made a ning site last week just to see if I could, however I noticed all the traffic exchanges have blocked ning or banned it from being on their sites. However I really like jv village and whatsthiswebthing, if i made another ning it would be to do with my business in sociology.
