Does Twitter help your linking?

When we post a message with Twitter with a URL is that URL counting as a back Link to our website?

Permalink Reply by Martin on February 16, 2009 at 7:25pm: The links are all re-directed through TinyURL so although they lead back to your site they won't count as links in Google for the purpose of SEO.
